What is the Baby Bundles initiative?

Baby Bundles is a new initiative from the Tunbridge Wells & District NCT Branch, run by a small team of volunteers. Its primary aim is to provide assistance to those in the local area unable to buy the essentials for their baby during the first few months of its life. It also aims to help families unable to buy the necessary equipment to assist with the physical development of their child during the challenging first couple of years of the child’s life.   The initiative will operate in Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough and surrounding villages.

Who is eligible for a Baby Bundle?

Baby Bundles are intended for those in genuine need of assistance. We aim to reach out to pregnant women, new mums/primary carers and families in the local area in crisis through homelessness, violence or financial hardship.

Baby Bundles work on a referral only basis so pregnant women, mums and carers must be referred by a community midwife, health visitor or social worker.

What's in a Baby Bundle?

‘Bundles’ are tailored to the individual’s needs. We will aim to include in each ‘bundle’ some essential toiletries for the pregnant women or new mum, in addition to essentials for the baby.

Bundles’ will be pulled together from various sources including donations of second hand and new items from local families; purchases from supermarkets and donations from local and national companies.
