Life is too short...so I am not going to keep this short as well. :D

For a very long time I have been feeling helpless every time I saw people suffering around the people. I always wanted to do something to help the needy and oppressed. So I have teamed up with Penny appeal to help the needy. Insha Allah I will be running the 10K Marathon in July and raising money for the poverty-stricken people around the world. 

The Penny appeal team travel to disadvantaged countries and help the needy who are desperate for help with the money that you donate which you can see on the short videos on the Penny appeal website. Also 100% of your donation goes directly to the needy. Below are some countries that Penny Appeal are supporting with the money that you donate:

• Syria and neighbouring countries - where refugees are battling to survive
• Yemen - where civilians are targeted amidst conflict, faced with famine and struggling to receive medical treatment for Cholera
• Myanmar - where Rohingya communities are being persecuted
• Palestine - where people are living amid conflict
• Bangladesh - Helping victims of the Sunamganj Floods and providing essential aid to Rohingya refugees
• Areas affected by the famine East Africa, such as Somalia, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya

So will you support me in this cause and gain reward for this life and your hereafter? Remember our Holy Prophet (SAW) says:

"Attract sustenance by giving charity".

Finally I will leave you with this short inspiring story: 

Once Abu Abdillah (a.s.) asked his son how much money he had. His son replied that he only had forty dinaars. Abu Abdillah (a.s.) asked his son to give it all away in the way of Allah. His son was hesitant and said that it was the only meagre amount he possessed. His father replied that: “Charity was the key to sustenance”. Shortly after having given the amount in charity the Imam’s son got four thousand dirhams. The Imam (a.s.) said to his son: “O son, we gave Allah forty dirhams and he gave us four thousand.”
