I'm back again for the same cause...you guessed it...GAZA! However this year it is a different route and a different charity but still a great cause.

Clearly London to Paris wasn't tough enough last year so I have chosen to embark on an even tougher challenge for 2010, Pisa to Rome. I shall be training heavily in the next 2 months (well as much as possible in between fasting/eating), but with your kind donations, I shall endeavour to succeed on this marvellous journey.

The Journey 340km

Day 1 - 90km Pisa to Campiglia Marittima

Day 2 - 85km Campiglia Marittima to Fonteblanda

Day 3 - 70km Fonteblanda to Tarquinia

Day 4 - 95km Tarquinia to Rome

The money raised this year will go to the Welfare Association which is a UK registered charity and I emphasise that it is NOT a political organisation. The charity will focus on helping children through psycho-social activities, supporting children who are visually impaired, children who are deaf or hard of hearing and children with mental health problems in Gaza.

£30 can provide shoes, a track suit, sweater and backpack for a school child

£75 can provide psycho-social activities for a child over one year (sports equipment, field trips, play sessions, etc.)

£100 can provide educational materials for one child for one year (books, educational games, musical instruments, etc.

£400 fully supports one child in a kindergarten with comprehensive educational and psycho-social activities and provides clothing and a nutritious meal for one year.
