We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am walking to help raise funds for all the people effected by Dementia, just like my mum Dee. I'm lucky that my mum is still at home with my Dad, who cares for her every day, and although she doesn't remember all of us and things we did as a family. we remember her and everything she did for all of us so we try  to support her by surrounding her with our love, home comforts and good food.

Some people don't have families to care for them, and those that care for them in homes or hospitals, don't know what they used to be like, before the disease.I want to raise funds to support those diagnosed, their carers and for research to help those who will be in the future. Whilst there aren't any cures out there yet, that doesn't mean that Dementia can't be detected  at an early stage and delayed, giving those patients a little longer to enjoy their families, memories and organise their lives, or getting them to help so they aren't afraid, alone and confused.

Thanks very much for everything you give, it doesn't matter how small the donation is, it all makes a difference.
