All you lovely people! Before the question comes up if you need to bring anything for the 7th - here the answer: NO - really not! I have everything I need and there will be enough bubbly & nibbles for everyone. BUT I have a much better idea: donate just a little bit instead!

You were all awesome and helped raise over GBP1200 for Ann's education last year & as you can see from the updates below she has earned to go to a good school - finishing top of her class! Writing a little note to me - but really to all of you on how grateful she is that we are making this possible for her. So let's keep raising some more funds as Anne needs to go to school for 8 years until she graduates and she needs another GBP1600 for that. We probably will not reach this target this year. So I guess we will just have to keep drinking...

Just as background - Ann joined the Baobab School in 2016. Ann's parents don’t have permanent jobs but the mum tries to make a living through selling old bags by the road side and does laundry for other people, while the dad sometimes gets a job as driver with the public transportation. Their family of five live in a two room house. She is exceptionally talented and works very hard, she is determined, dedicated and has lots of potential. She deserves to have a chance!

Also a friend of mine who lives in Kenya, sponsors one of the other kids in the school and he keeps an eye on Ann, so she'll be in good hands! The money will go directly into her education without any cuts.
