Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We, as Team Fallowell, and Team 76, are intending to drive for almost 2500 miles pretty much non-stop, on Club Triumph's Round Britain Reliability Run.

This is by no means a walk in the park - from 6pm on Friday evening at Knebworth House, the next major stopping point is at 6am at John O'Goats for breakfast on Saturday morning. From here, we will cross the north coast of Scotland, before heading down through the Highlands, past Glasgow, through England, crossing into Wales for a fun and eye-opening drive south. We then cross back into England and further south still... the next major stop at John O'Groats is Land's End, at 6am on Sunday morning for breakfast again!

The hard slog continues, with the realisation that as we leave Land's End towards Bude, there is still another eleven hours and four hundred odd miles to the finish at Knebworth House at 6pm on Sunday evening!

The event is now in it's 50th year, and has been a charitable event for the last ten years or so. In that time, the club of volunteer enthusiasts has raised in the region of half a million pounds far various charities, including RNLI and Children with Cancer. This year, the chosen charity is Guide Dogs.

All donations go directly to this charity that do so much for individuals who are blind or have suffered from sight loss. It takes 24 months for the dogs to be trained to a standard where they can give freedom and independence to someone with sight loss.

We are hoping to raise £500 from this page at least, and the other 100 odd teams taking part are hoping to do likewise!

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
