Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page- firstly a bit of background around the idea -

Imagine this - a 'team night out'...lots of laughter, fun and of course (some!) alcohol...one of the team suggests we complete the Three Peaks....amid some further laughter but also shouts of agreement, "what an acheivement", "we could do this".....you catch my drift.

However, the next day dawns and doubts set in....followed by a happier thought....this conversation would have been forgotten....right?!?! WRONG! We, team PLI, are attempting to climb the national Three Peaks within just 24 hours. And I, Lucy, am arranging it all....so there is no way out now! The flights are booked and Scotland, England and Wales have been put on high alert for our arrival!

And now for the serious yet rewarding and inspirational bit.....we are raising money for a very worthy cause, Help for Heroes....It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.....so please dig deep, our lads and ladies need our help.

We will be attempting the challenge on 23rd and 24th June, within a 24 hour period - I am writing a weekly blog updating on everyone's progress, who is working the hardest, who is slacking and who will be the first to cry on the mountains......I think I will wager myself on the latter point....
