We offer free support to people with cancer and their loved ones

Story

To those who know us as the HQ lunchtime runners, we are upping our game and, with support from a few of our spouses, will be doing the Great Scottish Run 10k in Glasgow on the 5th of September.

To make our efforts extra-worthwhile, we have 'teamed up' with Shirley to raise some much needed funds for the 'Maggie's' Centres.  We have set a target of £1,000 and hope you will donate any amount you can - to show our gratitude and thanks for the support Maggie's gives to families and patients who have been diagnosed or are undergoing treatment for cancer.

Shirley says....Now that all my treatment has come to an end I am so grateful to Maggie's for the calm relaxed atmosphere that it creates and of course to the wonderful staff who run the Centre on a daily basis.  When one of the oncology nurses said "we are going to miss you Shirley, you have coped so well with all your treatment" .... I left with a slight tear in my eye but a skip in my step.  One never knows when the words "the tests show you have cancer" will strike but Maggie's door is always open where there is a listening ear, a friendly face and a place to turn to for help.

Please dig deep and donate now..... and thank you!
