Story

So, what's this all about? We'll tell you! Also check out our website www.teamwanderlust2010.com for more details :)

The What, the how and the when?

The 2010 Mongol Rally is a 10,000-mile long adventure rally crossing 1/3 of the world, 18 countries, 3 deserts, 5 mountain ranges and the Pamir Highway, the second highest road in the world. It starts in Hyde Park, London and goes to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia in July/August 2010. It lasts 35 days and will see us driving the whole 10,000 miles in a thimble of a car. With its 8 litres capacity and 72 hp of raw engine power, we think that our tiny Perodua Nippa is a cracking formula 1 worthy racing sports car that will eat the distance up for breakfast and then be ready for bigger and better things, like being converted into an emergency vehicle or ambulance. What, you don't believe us? Check out the picture above :)

You and your friends can help us raise the cash to help our chosen charity, thus making the five weeks that we'll be living in our clunker of a car worth it.

The Who? - Team Wanderlust
Nicholas Harvey - British/American national, recently graduated MBA, adventurer extraordinaire, Captain (aka driver), and shoo-er of yaks

Maria Novatschkova - German/Bulgarian national, business professional, Queen of the Road, Co-Pilot (aka navigator), and negotiator (aka translator)

The Why?

We admit we are crazy, or so they tell us, but we also want to raise huge sacks of cash for our excellent chosen charity. All the funds raised through this page will go directly to the Christina Noble Children's Foundation and the incredible work they do in Mongolia

The charity

The Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) is a non-governmental organisation working in Mongolia to support and protect children who are homeles and/or at risk of sexual abuse, human trafficking and child labour. CNCF offers these children a new chance in life with a safe place to live, education and all the support of a family.
