Team 500 - We decided as a group we would like to join the Hospice Step out challenge and do something to challenge ourselves in the month of March. We are hoping to walk the grand total of 500 miles over the month in support of our nursing colleagues who on an average shift walk 5 miles during the course of their duties. 

So introducing Maria, Kirsty, Linda, Liz, Lynda, David , Emily, Siobhan, Niamh and Dawn who are all pledging to walk 50 miles each which will be the equivalent of 10 nursing shifts.  

We know times are hard for everyone but as you can imagine charities have all been struggling over the last year due to the pandemic and normal fundraising activities not taking place so we would like to raise as much as we can to support the work that our amazing colleagues do every day in support of patients with life limiting illness.  Every penny we raise will go directly to supporting these patients in their final days and weeks.
