Story

Hi my name is Harry Thompson.

I have had type 1 diabetes since I was two years old, I'm now 9.

I don't remember life before diabetes but I would like not to be always having injections and finger pricks and keep having to remember to have snacks.

I would like not to keep havings highs and lows and feeling strange and shaking.

I'd like to be like my friends.

My Dad, my Uncle Richard and Uncle Paul, and two of my friends dads, Paul and Mike, are going on a bike ride from London to Paris to raise money for children with diabetes. Hopefully the money they collect will go towards finding a cure for us.

I'm going on a insulin pump soon, which acts as an artificial pancreas attached to my body helping to give me correct doses of insulin. I'm very excited as this means 28 injections less for me and will keep me healthier.

Thank you for sponsoring our team.

Love Harry x
