Story

On the 4th and 5th September 2010 a team from the Henley Business School will be entering the Snowdon Mountain Marathon Challenge to raise money for the Royal Berkshire Charity's 'Robbie the robot' appeal. The team will be climbing a number of mountains in Snowdonia, aiming to cover a distance of just over 26 miles in just 24 hours. The team is lead by David Stannard, the School's Director of Administration, and also comprises Craig Bailey, Emma Clarke, Marc Day, Peter Miskell and Trudy Shore.

The £1 million 'Robbie the robot' appeal has been launched in a bid to keep 'Robbie' the da Vinci Robot operating in Berkshire. The robot, which allows surgeons to offer the latest in state of the art robotic assisted surgery, has already transformed prostate cancer operations and is beginning to be used in other specialities such a gynaecology. For patients this brings a host of benefits all of which contribute to radically shortened recovery times and a quicker return to normal life.

So please dig deep to support Team Henley and their valiant efforts on the mountains of Wales.
