The rally takes place in June of 2010 and will the route taken by allied forces from the beaches of Normandy to Hitler's "Eagles Nest" at Berchtesgarden. 1650 Miles, 45 Teams, 10 Days, 6 Countries, 2 Grumpy Old Men and 1 Vehicle (but a nice one)!
The cost of taking part in the rally will be covered wholly by us. That means that ALL of the money you donate (plus 28% from the tax man if you opt in to Gift Aid!) goes to Help for Heroes. You can donate directly through this Just Giving website.
Adrian was an Ammunition Technical Officer (ATO) in the Army for some time and now works for the UN, which is why he needs a professional rally organiser in the shape of Jonothan Bowles (www.continentalcartours.co.uk) to keep him out of trouble. Help for Heroes is the priority for our fundraising during 2010 for obvious reasons. This charity and your generous donations will help our many injured service men and women to continue their rehabilitation and allow them to begin to readjust to what fate has so cruelly dealt them.
As well as donations from individuals, we are looking for organisations willing to support our fund raising. Sponsors logos are permitted on the vehicles, and there will be significant press coverage. We are entering a Range Rover Sport TDV HSE as our old bones need plenty of support, so plenty of room for logos.
We hope you feel able to support us! Please explore the web sites and learn a little more about the Rally, Help for Heroes and how you can help! Please 'dig deep' and donate if you possibly can as every little helps.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
We hope to have a web page soon where regular updates will be available.
