We provide free psychological support to those affected by cancer.

Story

In 2008 we successfully braved the snow and climbed to the top of Helvellyn (950M), in 2009 we cycled, ran and walked to the summit of Snowdon (1085m). So what possible challenge could we have in store for 2010 you may ask? Well this year we have decided to return to the Lake District and climb England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike (978M).

We will be setting off on our adventure on Saturday 17th April. As in previous walks everyone taking part is of varying fitness levels and experience but with one common goal – to make it to the top and raise as much money as possible for charity.

Team Members are:

Lorna Mills, Ian Legate, Steve Wheeler, David Butcher, Mark Sullivan, Gill Sullivan, Andy Renshaw, Fiona Reavley, Ben Ward, Brian Westhead, Glynn Denwood, Dan Moore, Louise Wright, Andrew Wright, Kay Moore, Amy Donaldson, Stephen Donaldson, Jamie Roberts, Tervor Mobbs, Alex Williams, Gary Blackwell, Fiona Blackwell, Catherine Butcher.

This year we will be raising money for Beechwood Cancer Care Centre.  Beechwood is a local day centre based in Stockport which offers help and support to anyone whos life has been affected by the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
