Every year we as a a family are going to be taking on a fundraising project for a different disability and we have decided to start with Reverse Rett. Why? Well because between us we work with a number of girls who have this condition. We have watched the fear on their faces as they experience another regression, we have seen the distress as they suddenly can’t do something they could do the day before, like walking. And they’re too little to understand why, so they keep on trying but just can’t make their body work. We are inspired by these girls every day, by their resilience, their sense of humour and their inner strength. By their wonderful families who smile and stay positive and are completely dedicated to fighting until a cure is found. It isn’t ok that they have this condition, it isn’t ok that they have to go through this so we are signing up to help. We’re signing up as a family and we’d like to raise £100.
