Hi everyone.

I decided to run the half marathon 2010, on 5^th September, as a personal challenge and (hopefully!) achievement, but I also knew that it was an opportunity to raise money and awareness for a charity that has helped so many people over the years, including my family, so this is partly in my Gran's memory. However, in the last few years a couple of people who I love and care about dearly have had or have got cancer affecting their lives and those close to them, so this is also for you.

I am sure many of you will have your own personal stories too.

There are 200 different kinds of cancer, and every 2 minutes someone is diagnosed with some form of cancer in the UK, and the Macmillan team really strive to reach and improve the lives of all those who are affected by it. Anything you can give on my Just Giving page no matter how small will make a difference, and on my part I will do my best to make it over the line in one piece!
