The Baker Tilly Master Paddlers are entering into the Bewl Water Chinese Dragon Boat Festival on the 13th September (not the 12th as it says on the left hand side of the page).
This involves us dressing up in silly costumes and racing other teams of 16 rowers across Bewl Water in a Chinese style boat. We are hoping for as many people as possible to come along and support us on the day.
We are raising funds for The National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE) who aim to make better futures for young people with Epilepsy.
Epilepsy is the most common neurological disorder in childhood, affecting 1 in 200. Of these as many as 30% continue to have seizures as well as a range of related disabilities, including learning, physical and emotional difficulties. In the UK alone, epilepsy affects over 75,000 children and young people. The National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE) cater for just 200 of these young people with complex epilepsy.
The NCYPE helps young people with severe epilepsy by providing a number of medical and educational services including; a specialist school and college, 21 residential student homes and a medical and assessment centre. The students suffer from multiple disabilities, difficulties with speech and communication as well as learning and behavioural problems which make it impossible for them to lead a normal life.
Please help by supporting us to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.
Many Thanks.
