Hi All
I am running the Cardiff and Birmingham Half Marathons in October to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research
The races are my way of helping the charity which the family of the late Alderman of Sandwell 'Fred Perry MBE' support and Fred Perry would be out there doing his bit if he was alive today
As a Care Assistant at a BUPA care home in Tipton where we looked after Fred Perry MBE until his sad death in 2013. Fred's family still keep in touch with me to see how I am as a thank you to the care myself and my colleagues gave to him during his time at the care home. I have recently seen his Irene (Fred's widow) where I gave her a medal from this years Edinburgh Half Marathon
The Cardiff and Birmingham will be my 2nd and 3rd city Half Marathon dressed as the Grinch following on from my first Half Marathon which in took place at Edinburgh 2 days after my 50th Birthday in May 2015
