Now in its fourth year, Team XRV's The Longest Day ride in 2011 is dedicated to raising as much money as possible for Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Team XRV is made up of people of different nationalities, different philosophies, different opinions, riding all sorts of bikes, but we all agree that the work that Make-A-Wish Foundation carries out is both priceless and essential. Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.
Just before The Longest Day of 2011, 100 or more riders and pillions will gather at sunrise to ride from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower, on Saturday 18th June. We aim to have all riders complete the ride by midnight. Most bikes will start with two wheels and an engine; a finish on foot or on a recovery truck DOES count. It is not a race: it's a motorcycling event to be enjoyed at your own pace; it's a celebration of the freedom we enjoy on our motorcycles, while at the same time using the challenge of the ride to raise funds for the magnificent work Make-A-Wish does.
This year we have the pleasure and privilage of being joined by BikeClubFrance.
