After successfully completing the 2003 Challenge ride in the Alps , I have decided to participate again this year in the ride through the Pyrenees to again raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind. In addition, this year I have talked my wife Gail into joining me in the challenge. We will be riding from Pao over several of the mountain passes made famous in previous Tours de France - including the Cols of Tourmalet, Aubisque, and Peyresourde - to the finish line in Plateau de Bielle.

The week long physical challenge we are undertaking pales in comparison to the challenges faced every day by blind and partially sighted people. Your challenge is to support us by donating generously to the Guide Dogs for the Blind. The work of Guide Dogs for The Blind enables them to help the blind and partially sighted people overcome challenges far greater than most of us will ever face.

Because my employer, TSF Europe/Asia, has generously agreed to donate an amount that will cover my costs and provide the minimum donation to enable me to ride, your donation will enable Gail to ride and directly benefit Guide Dogs for the Blind in their work. Last year more than two-thirds of the amount donated went directly to the work of the Charity. This year should be no different. Your donation will be very much appreciated by everyone concerned.
