Amber Porterfield 100 mile cycle ride
Fundraising for Tree of Hope
Story
Amber is 5 years of age. She has Cerebral Palsy and is unable to walk without a walking frame, in February this year she was assessed for the Life Changing SDR operation to help her walk and she was eligible for it until the Government withdrew all the funding.
We now face the task of raising thousands of pounds in order to send her to America for the operation.
Amber is a Beautiful girl who is full of life and enthusiasm and lights the room wherever she goes. She refuses to slow down and loves to take part in everything she can and loves nothing more than rough and tumble with her two brothers.

Amber is a Beautiful girl who is full of life and enthusiasm and lights the room wherever she goes. She refuses to slow down and loves to take part in everything she can and loves nothing more than rough and tumble with her two brothers.
Amber is a polite young girl and she recently asked someone if they were donating for her Appeal and was told politely by her mom that she shouldn't ask to which she replied, " But mommy its an expensive operation".
Other children from her school are also helping to raise money and one particular boy carries a jar full of sweets around the playground and takes donations to guess how many sweets are in it and the winner gets the jar.
This is not just Amber's Story but the Story of her local Community who have been outstanding and gathered together to help her in financially difficult times.
Not a day goes by without more donations and more events being planned, the response has been exceptional. But we still have a long long way to go.
