Story
On September 12 I will be running the Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham. It will be my 11th Half Marathon and they don't get any easier!
A tragic event at my sons' Ben and Tom's School has inspired me to run for sponsorship for the first time. One of the boy's school friend's younger sister was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour at the age of two. Twelve months later Isabel Bojoko sadly died just as her parents believed she was recovering, leaving her family tragically bereaved. It was a shock to children and parent's at the school, who remember Isobel's sweet and lively visits to school with her brother Wesley.
A local East Midlands charity, PASIC, supports parents of children at the Nottingham Children's Hospital (QMC) providing them with bereavement support, family activities and practical financial help arising from the illness. PASIC has been of great value and help to Isabel's parents and Wesley. Now they and several other parents from the school are trying to raise some money to ensure PASIC can keep up their very valuable and appreciated work.
I hope you can help me towards my target and support this very admirable charity, it means alot to the Bojoko's. Paul Bojoko is going to run and several family members have volunteered to be marshal's.
Thanks for your support
Tim
