Story
Back in 2000 (yes thirteen years ago), I managed to win a ballot place for my first London Marathon (4 hours 26 mins) and decided I ought to run for charity; I picked the Haemophilia Society.
From that event, I got to know the Charity and, a few years later, was invited to join the Board as Honorary Treasurer.
As I now enter my final year as a Trustee, in what has been a challenging financial time for everyone including charities, I thought it was only fitting to try to run my second marathon and help raise some much needed funding for the Society (and being competitive beat my time!).
The charity kindly let me use one of their limited number of bonded places on the basis that I persuaded them that my friends are all very generous when its comes to sponsoring me. I hope you prove me right!
So in advance, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and being so generous. I appreciate it as will everyone who benefits from the work the Society does.
Now the technical bit: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
