Story

Thanks for coming to my Just Giving page.

The thing is this! Richard and I were going to ride the LEJOG route last June for charity, to lose weight (nice beer gut) and set ourselves a really tough challenge that was achievable but hard to do. A bucket list trip. Unfortunately other events took hold and as they say, the rest is history. More bucket than list for poor Percy!

Although that's not how I want this to end. Richard was my best mate and he deserves a better ending than to fade away in the consciousness of most that knew him.

Through Percy's Pals in the longer term, and this challenge this summer, we can create a lasting and flourishing organisation that does good for those that are ill and in need of help. Something that Percy was passionate about, both in his personal life and his job as a GP doctor.

Supporting me in what ever way you can to do this ride will have a direct impact on the care and health of desperately ill people that are taken to the Wessex Neurological ITU. You are directly contributing towards potentially life saving equipment that will transform how medical services are delivered at this unit. A portable brain scanner will slash the time taken to diagnose an illness and greatly improve the chances of a quicker and more succesful recovery.

If you don't want to do it for me, then do it for Percy's Pals and Richard. We all have a chance to make a difference in life, even after we are dead.

Thanks and please go to www.percyspals.com for the latest news on the appeal and why this is so important.
