Tim Williams and Russell Bunker have entered an event called the Rickshaw Run.  This is a race, the length of India, in a rickshaw (tuk-tuk). There is no support crew or mechanics, no check-points or even a defined route.  We just have a starting line and finishing post.

We set off in the Southern city of Cochin on March 28th 2010 with the final destination being Gangtok in the foothills of the Himalayas close to the border with Tibet - a journey well in excess of 2000 miles and taking in the occasional desert, jungle and mountain range, in a vehicle with a top speed of 34 mph.  It is expected to take between two and three weeks depending on how lost we get and how many times we break down.

We have pledged to raise £1000.00 for the official charities of the Frank Waters Project and MercyCorps.
