Story

I have worked for City Catering Southampton (CCS) for 18 years, this August. The charity are always looking for ways to fundraise and raise their profile as a not-for-profit.

CCS feeds the residents of Southampton from school children to elderly and vulnerable adults. It also provides meals over the school holidays to families who may otherwise go hungry.

Every donation is very much appreciated and goes back into the local community.

I will be climbing Snowdon with 3 friends, the perfect group of people to get me to the top! Those of you that know me well, will know that I’m not one to go to the gym or do any kind of exercise really. I don’t even own a pair of trainers!! This is going to be a challenge for sure.

The mountain is based in Wales and it’s 9 miles to the top and back, that’s approximately 6 hours.

I will be taking photos along the way to prove to my close friends and family that I actually did it! No taking the train.

Wish me luck!! I’m going to need it. Thank you in advance for any donations.

Please share on social media for me. 😀

About the charity

City Catering Southampton believes that great quality food, served with kindness and care, is a right, not a privilege: everyone deserves the best possible nourishment. Therefore we exist to make a tangible nutritional difference in people’s lives.
