I'm taking part in the Adidas Women's 5km Challenge in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
When my daughter Amelia was born, she was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. Thanks to the amazing staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital Amelia successfully had surgery to fix her heart earlier this year.
We experienced first hand how donations from the public really do help. Amelia was provided with world-class care by ensuring the exceptional doctors and nurses had state-of-the art equipment. We were given accommodation the night before Amelia’s operation, whilst she was in intensive care and on the high dependency unit. I was given a bed space next to Amelia’s cot whilst she recovered on the ward.
