Story
This page is in Memory of Fred Sheppard.
Unfortunately Toby's Grandad, Fred, passed away in February to cancer. He played a big role in his life and we want to pay our respects to him by raising money for The Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
Macmillan were fantastic, not only supporting him, but also supporting the family and friends through a long, hard and emotional ordeal.
We are doing a as we want to push ourselves to (or over!) our limits, reach the peak of our pain barriers, and put ourselves through a challenge that is going to test us mentally and physically. Although it's not comparable to what Fred went through, we want to feel just a tiny fragment of his pain.
Whilst we are running the to pay our respects to Fred, we also recognise almost everyone is affected by cancer in some way, shape or form, and we want to pay tribute to them
Along side the marathon, we are planning a few charity events including a World Cup Sweepstake and a Charity Gig to kick start our fundraising campaign and allow you to be part of the build up to the main event.
We are looking forward to it all coming together and we hope you can share in this excitement.
