Story
As you may know, I am running Shakespeare Marathon on 25 April 2010. That's right, all 26.2 miles of it!
It's my first time running this event (although it will be my second marathon) and race day is looming fast. Training has gone reasonably well with the exception of the odd niggle but I've notched up over 300 miles since mid January, so feeling good.
I would really appreciate it if you could help support my effort by donating whatever you can to The Prince's Trust through this website.
The Prince’s Trust provides disadvantaged 14-30 year olds with the support that they need to move on in their lives, helping them to get into education, training and employment for a brighter future. They focus their efforts on those young people who struggle the most and face the biggest barriers; the long-term unemployed, educational underachievers, young people who have been through the care system and offenders and ex-offenders.
The Trust in the will support over 3,500 young people this year and they need to raise £2.5 million. The demand for their support has seen a significant increase over the past year, as young people have borne the brunt of the recession, and more so in this region.
It is a great cause and I know that the Trust in the West Midlands really will appreciate the generosity.
