<p>This is a charity who support people with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome like me and my sister Katie.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">There is currently no cure for BBS, all symptoms are treated individually. However research is on-going and there is hope of a cure for the eye condition in around 10 – 12 years time, with either stem cell or gene therapy or retinal transplant. </span></p>

The aims of the Society are to preserve and protect the health and promote the welfare of persons suffering from BBS, and to advance the education of the medical and educational professionals and the general public on the subject of B<strong><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">BS</span></strong>.</span></span></p>
