We support people diagnosed with BBS, their parents, carers, and siblings as well as professionals involved in all aspects of the care and support of people with BBS in the UK. We are a user-led organisation, represented by adults with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS) and parents of children with BBS.

Story

<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>This is a charity who support people with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome like me and my sister Katie.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">There is currently no cure for BBS, all symptoms are treated individually. However research is on-going and there is hope of a cure for the eye condition in around 10 &ndash; 12 years time, with either stem cell or gene therapy or retinal transplant. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">The Laurence-Moon-Bardet-Biedl Society</span></strong><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;"> is the only registered charity supporting people with BBS, their families and carers.
