To celebrate turning 40 this year I have set myself a challenge!!! I'm running the London Marathon on 25th April and the Edinburgh Marathon on the 23rd May. To make the challenge even more difficult I am cycling from my home town in Framlingham to Edinburgh in the week before the marathon. This is over 400 miles!

I am raising money for the Alzheimers Society as some of my wife's family have suffered from  this disease.So the training has begun and with just 6 weeks or so to go things are really going well. It would be great if you able to donate anything large or small and if you see me on my bike give me a wave!

First leg of my challenge done - I completed the London Marathon in 4 hours 33 seconds. Had hoped for a quicker time but it just didn't happen on the day. Already thinking ahead to the next stage.

20th May

Unfortunately the bike has given up!! .........but I haven't! Still heading to Edinburgh on Sunday for the marathon.

June

Completed the Edinburgh Marathon in 4 hours & 12 minutes. Very happy with that time! Hanging up my trainers for awhile - thanks for all your support & for helping me reach my target & more!
