Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page....Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Since resuming uni after a 30-year "gap-year" I was determined to have the full uni experience...and was over the moon to be accepted by the Rosie May Home in Sri Lanka as a volunteer this summer. After recovering from cancer and subsequent pulminory embollism, I never thought I'd have a chance to do anything like this so in gratitude to the foundation I am determined to raise as much as I can for them:

Following the brutal murder of Rosie May, age 10 in December 2003, her family founded a UK registered charity to give children a brighter future, one that their own daughter was denied. The Rosie May home in Sri Lanka, the charity's main project was created following the devastating 2004 Asian Tsunami which was experienced by Rosie May's family whilst on holiday. The home aims to empower orphaned and abandoned girls to strive for a better and more equable life.

This page is to raise money that goes directly to the charity..my flights and accomodation have already been paid. So come on guys, sponsor my hair by the inch...it is now a quarter of an inch long...I want to to be 6 inches long by June 1st!!!!

Regular foto-updates will be posted as I progress from skinhead to yeti!!
