Story
In May 2006, almost 100 Orange employees will be taking part in a three day bike ride from London to Paris to raise funds for Sense, the charity that works to meet the needs of people who are both deaf and blind. They will cycle over 320 km.
Taking part in this three day event will be a real test of determination and stamina for them. In addition to the physical challenge they have also agreed to raise £1,500 for Sense’s work with deafblind children and adults.
What will the sponsorship enable Sense to achieve?
£1,000 could pay for a Sense support worker to make 20 home visits to a family with a deafblind child, offering them advice and teaching them how to communicate with their child.
£5 could pay for a deafblind child to meet the animals at a children’s farm on their unforgettable Sense holiday.
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor all participants taking part in the Tour d'Orange online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor them: Sense - National Deafblind and Rubella Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor them now!
Many thanks for your support.
