Thank you so much for taking the time to view this page. This charity has changed my whole outlook on life and made me feel, for the first time in my life that...........i'm not alone anymore. I have met some wonderful people through the charity(Ann & Bronagh) just to mention as couple. I am doing the Hadrians wall trek in September to raise funds for this amazing charity without who, I would still be alone. Caring Matters Now is the only UK dedicated charity that supports people affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN), a rare disorder affecting the skin and brain. CMN is an association of dark brown/black birthmarks (moles) which can cover up to 80% of the body. My own covers between 30-40% of my body. CMN are mostly untreatable and carry an increased risk of malignant melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer. CMN syndrome is the association of these moles with neurological problems including brain tumours, spinal tumours, developmental complications, fluid on the brain and/or characteristic facial features.
