Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the weekend of the 4-5th June 2011, former classmates and long-time friends Simon Platt, Nicky Partridge, Adam Austin and Shaun 'Hardcore' Hardie - aka 'The Albany Wrong Un's - will be partaking in the annual Oxfam Trailtrekker Challenge.

Despite most of us only ever walking as far as the pub - and only when we have a fair wind behind us - we have decided in our collective wisdom/ignorance (*delete as applicable) to dive straight in at the deep end and attempt the notoriously difficult 'Gold' course -Thats almost 30 hours of near non-stop walking (yes, that's day and night without sleep!) across the Yorkshire Dales with 250 other teams all helping to raise money for people in poverty here in the UK.

With only 2/3rds of those starting the Gold course actually making it to the finish line, it promises to be one of the most taxing and difficult challenges any of us have undertaken.

With that it mind any donation, no matter the amount, is gratefully received with every penny raised helping to make every mile - and blister - all the more worthwhile.

And now for the small print...

"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR DONATION FROM ALL OF US ON THE TEAM!
