Update - We completed 60 miles on January 14th (started at 4am and finished at 5:55pm). Well over 60 people (and 4 dogs) accompanied/visited me at various times during the day. Through your monetary (over $3,200) and food (approx. 200 lbs.) donations we raised 13,011 meals for the Foodbank. It was a great party! Thanks everyone for your thoughts/prayers and support...and helping make a difference in our community! Until next time...

It's party time! Your neighborhood tree grower is turning 60. What better way to celebrate than to run/walk 60 miles and donate to a great cause. Instead of presents---I encourage you to make a donation to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. You're invited to run/walk with me as your time allows. I challenge you to donate a dollar per mile (or any amount you're able to give) or non-perishable food items. Monetary donations can be made between January 1st - January 20th using the link provided. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the event.
