Action For Children funds childrens centres around the country dedicated to helping families of children with special needs.

My son is one such child and the help and support we have received and still receive has been invaluable in maintaining an active and fully integrated development program to help him overcome his difficulties.

The care and support given to us as a family is also unmeasurable in terms of the coordinated management of appointments with the various medical teams and professionals involved in his care.

Although there is never a question of repayment for this service, I am running in the Cardiff Big Fun Run to raise money as a way of giving something back as a mark of appreciation and gratitude.

I also want to help ensure that this kind of support continues for other families who in the future may find themselves in circumstances like us.
