Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For the last ten years I have run the Bristol Half Marathon.  This year I was unable to compete...so I have come up with an alternative....You may be aware that Lyons Davidson are this years "baton holders" raising funds for Headway UK.  We set ourselves an ambitious target of £100,000, thus far £60,000 has been raised through a whole host of different activities.  With 3 monnths left to run, myself and a number of other partners have decided it was time to make our contribution!!!

On Sunday 10th October a group of us wil be attempting a 30 Mile "yomp" over Dartmoor.  We will follow what used to be the route for the final Royal Marines Commando Test.  We will NOT be carrying fighting order and rifle.  We aim to get it done in around 8 hours (before it gets dark!!!)

This is the only sponsored event that I will be attempting this year (and probably ever!!!).  The last time I did this course was 1983!!!!

Thank you all for your support and please give generously.
