Story

The jump was fab, weather was perfect, although I do know I am not made for free fall, line jumping maybe. It was by far the most terrifying thing I have ever done. :)

One week to go!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.   So please dig deep and donate now.

My adventure started last year when I saw a program on the girls/women/boys/men who we send into danger coming home with the most terrible injuries and how they fight to overcome all the things thrown at them.  I believe they need the help and support from all of us no matter what your stand is on the conflicts they are sent to.  I then decided to raise money and the same time scare the living heck out of myself.  So I decided to do a tandem skydive with the Red Devil (men in uniform of course I am a girl!).

Once I had decided this other events took over my life and that was the deterioration of my father’s health and sadly we lost my dad on the 17th December 2009.  My dad has always had an influence over my choices and my outlook and most importantly he taught me to be independent, strong and with a sense of humour to most trials that come my way.  So I am also doing this in memory of my dad who would on one hand think it was mad but secretly think it was cool, this is a man who had a great life and reached the top of his field at an early age.  I miss his humour and the twinkle in his eye whenever he was taking the mickey out of any of us kids, actually anyone really no one was immune to his teasing.  As a young man he served in the South African Army in Africa and Italy during the Second World War, he was an Engineer. So I am sure he would approve of the Charity I have chosen, which is Help For Heroes.

So I have booked my dive and THEN I watched the Promo video, which perhaps I should have watched before I booked my place...the plane is very small!

Thanks for visiting and thank you for your sponsorship. I am hoping at minimun to raise £500 everything above that is a bonus.
