Hi guys, just to let you all know I reached Aneto summit at 1.30pm on the 10th as planned. Thank-you so much Meryl, Julie and Bryan for your very generous donations. Tris
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 10th July 2012 I will be attempting the summit of Pico d’Aneto, located in the Maladeta Massif of the Spanish Pyrenees. At 11,168 ft, Aneto is the highest Peak in the Pyrenees Mountain Range.
Its ascent involves traversing the largest Glacier in Europe south of the Alps and crossing the famous “Paso de Mahoma” or “Bridge Of Mohammed”, a knife edge Arête just below the summit.
I will be joined by my friend, Gareth James, we have payed for all expenses so every penny collected will be donated to ‘Community Action Nepal’ (CAN). Started by a group of Mountaineers who wanted to give something back to the Mountain communities of the Himalaya, CAN has established more than 50 community projects focusing on health, water and sanitation, schools, education and cultural development.
Every little helps and will be gratfully recieved. Thank You
