Story

**UPDATE** 12.09.10 - ISoc EID FUN DAY at Didsbury Mosque (Manchester) raised a massive £3200 for the flood victims of Pakistan. Alhamdulillah, we have now exceeded our £5000 target. JazakAllah khair for all your efforts and your generous donations. Please continue giving. The people of Pakistan are still suffering.

As-salaamu alaikum/Peace be with you.

The most severe floods in Pakistan's history have left 20 MILLION people affected and at least 1,600 dead.

Days of torrential rain has caused schools, homes, bridges and roads to be completely washed away, driving people from their homes with nowhere to go.

The situation on the ground, in flood affected areas, is extremely desperate and many people are urgently in need of shelter, food and medical supplies. As well as this, the absence of clean water has now created a high risk of the spread of water-borne diseases amongst the survivors.

The University of Manchester Islamic Society hopes to raise £5000 for the people of Pakistan, but this cannot be done without YOUR help!

PLEASE DONATE NOW AND HELP SAVE LIVES.

All money raised will go towards the Islamic Relief Emergency Pakistan Flood Appeal.

£20 will buy a family hygiene kit
£40 will buy a food pack for a family
£150 will buy a family tent.

JazakumAllahu Khairun.
Wa'Alaikum Asalam
