Story

This is the Scottish Mountain Rescue Committee page for Utopie's entry in the Scottish Islands Peaks Race in 2010. After a successful (partly!) maiden trip in 2009 we're committed to finishing in 2010!! We have 3 marathons to run, 9,000ft of climbing - and descent - and 150 miles of sailing. All this between 12.00 on 21st May and, hopefully, some time on Sunday evening 23rd May. We start in Oban and finish at Troon, where strong drink may be taken in moderation!!

Because of the many years of mountaineering that we have all enjoyed we want to try to raise funds for the SMRC as we go along - while hoping not to need them!!

If you want to receive updates from the team as we prepare for the race be sure to provide your e-mail address when donating. We'll post newsletters regularly in the run-up (pun intended!!).
