I have been wanting to do some fundraising for Cancer Research UK for some time now, ever since the disease first affected my family. Ok, I know some of you will be thinking better late than never..!

I am not asking you to donate because running (...or possibly walking or crawling in my case..!.) 5km is a particularly impressive achievement but because the work Cancer Research UK does is so vital in the ongoing battle against cancer.
