We fund research, we campaign, we support - to fight for your right to breathe.

Story

Devendra Shah (Dev), husband to Harsha, father to Vickesh and Jemma, sadly passed away on 23rd May 2021 at the age of 58.

Dev was a man of pure integrity. He was kind, loyal, humble, honest and hardworking. Dev had a huge personality, and people had to meet him just once and he would leave a lasting impression. His sense of humour and contagious smile would light up any room and he would make life long friends with anyone he met.

Dev was Simply the Best.

Due to Covid restrictions, many could not attend Dev’s funeral in person. Everyone has been asking to contribute towards the charity we are supporting in his name.

Under normal circumstances a donation box would have been at the funeral for anyone who wanted to donate in his honour. Please treat this JustGiving page as the same.

Our chosen charity is the British Lung Foundation.

We chose this charity because although Dev suffered a heart attack, he had an autoimmune condition affecting his lungs. 1in 5 people will develop a lung condition during their lifetime. Yet research into lung disease is severely underfunded, with less than 5% of all medical research funding in the UK invested in this area.

We hope that by contributing to this charity in Dev’s memory, it will go a small way towards their research and development programme to helping other families in the future.

Thank you,

Harsha, Vickesh and Jemma Shah
