Story
Snowdon walk in memory of Mike Gashe - 4th October 2009
My dad was planning to walk up Snowdon this year with some of his friends from the Arriva bus garage in Runcorn, and they had all been training hard. After Dad died they decided to go ahead with the walk in his memory, and have now got a bus load of friends and colleagues coming along with them! Me, my fiancee Lee, and my friends Lyndsey, Vicki, Ryan and Barry have decided to walk with them up Snowdon, and use the walk to raise money for a cause that I think Dad would really appreciate:
The John Muir Trust, which conserves the wild places of Britain
We see this as a big challenge, most of us are hideously unfit and not regular walkers... but we all see it as a way of connecting with something my Dad really loved and also of helping out causes which support his favourite places and pastimes.
We hope you'll give us a few quid if you can spare it....
Vicky, Lee, Lyndsey, Vicki, Ryan and Barry
