Story
After last time and vowing NEVER EVER again will I break out in to anything more than a brisk walk, I have been bullied by a couple of friends to do another 5k walky/ joggy/ runny torture event. (Which reminds me, I better check that they have registered too or there will be trouble).
Since I am again putting my self through this torture I thought I better do it for a good cause. This time I have decided to run for Dogs Trust (you may have picked up on the fact I am slightly bonkers about dogs). So to add to my regular activities - volunteering at a local rescue centre, emotionally blackmailing friends/acquaintances/strangers into taking a rescue pet - I am now going to undertake the madness that is known as running.
Dogs Trust is a fantastic organisation which rehomes dogs across the and , does not put down healthy animals and has a sponsorship scheme for dogs that will never be rehomed. The only downside is that their logo is yellow which is so not my colour!
The photo above shows one of my three dogs Albie. The reason for putting him up (apart from being a rescue dog) is that he will be helping me in my achievement of super fitness by being my training partner - with the added benefit of him hopefully being too knackered to cause as much trouble as normal. God help all dog walkers and joggers in the Bishops Stortford area.
As you have by now worked out, this is a begging letter to part with some of your hard earned cash. I am grateful for your support and if you don't want to pay up for the dogs, please pay up for the agonies I am about to undergo.
Many thanks
