Story
As you will see, as you read further on, I have kept my previous 'story' regarding my brain surgery and possible MS diagnosis. But here, I am going to tell you why I am running the London Marathon. After my surgery (and just after my last update, I developed aseptic Meningitis. I felt very ill for quite a while and my strength depleted massively. With MS still looming over me, I decided I wanted to get fit again, and I wouldn't let my illness(es) or surgery hold me back.
What better way to do this, than to run a marathon?! And the bonus part is, I get to try and raise EVEN more money for MS-UK! I have added £1,750 to my 'target' amount, as that is what I have pledged to the charity.
Doing this just 9 months after having fairly serious brain surgery and meningitis, is a big challenge for me (I've been OK'd by the docs...!!!) and I'm going to give it everything I've got.
So please dig deep, this is a great charity, who support many, many people with MS and their families.
Keep an eye for future updates as there will be another fundraising party to help me reach target and to raise awareness of MS...

Hi there, I'm now almost 3 weeks post brain surgery, and I'm feeling really well, considering! The charity event waas very successful. Just over £1,000 was raised JUST on the night and everyone had a fabulous time and danced well into the night. The pub donated their profits from the BBQ, and so did the ice-cream man that turned up on the day with his ice-cream for the kiddies!
I'm not done fundraising though, I am keeping this page open for further donations and events that my husband and I are planning for 2014!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us and MS-UK!
