We offer practical and emotional support to lone refugee children in the UK.

Story

Separated children arrive in the UK alone, traumatised and exhausted after an arduous journey. They are extremely vulnerable, having left behind everybody and everything they have ever known.

Methuen House are fundraising for this amazing charity through our annual Sing Along. We want to be able to buy as many essential item arrival packs as possible (each costs around £42) for young refugees arriving in the UK.

The packs contain warm and weatherproof clothes, toiletries (including a wash bag and towels), a menstrual set and pen/paper. These items are given in a drawstring duffle bag with pockets to make it easy for the children – who usually arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs – to keep their belongings safe.

Please help us offer separated children dignity, warmth and comfort for their first days and nights in the UK.

About the charity

The Separated Child Foundation helps young refugees in the UK who have become separated from their parents and close family. We offer emotional, social and practical support to separated children and engage in educational activities to raise broader awareness of their needs.
