We are raising money for the Peritoneal Malignancy Institute Basingstoke in memory of our beloved wife, mother, sister and daughter and friend Vijayalakshmi Varadarajan or fondly known as ‘Viju’ amongst many.
Prior to her Terminal Cancer diagnosis, Viju was operated at Basingstoke and North Hampshire hospital, where she was very well looked after.
Viju spent her last few months at home and passed comfortably and peacefully on Wednesday 21st December 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. On behalf of the family, I would like to thank the staff at the hospital for their devoted care and constant support.
The Peritoneal Malignancy Institute (PMI) has a charity fund which sits within the main Hampshire Hospitals Charity; the research fund.
The research fund will aid in training and further research into her rare condition, Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP).
As per the family’s wishes, we request no flowers to be sent in Viju’s memory. Instead, should you wish to, you can donate to the Peritoneal Malignancy Institute, our chosen charity.
