KPMG have a staff selected charity every year and this year we chose to support Help the Hospices.  As one of the many fundraising events, a group of around 25 of us are going to do a trek around Sri Lanka.

Just so that you know that I am not just trying to raise money for a holiday here is what I am going to be doing:

- Trek approximately 75kms through dense forest, tea and coconut plantations
- Tackle Grade IV rapids (this is a great challenge as I hate boats)
- Climb the UNESCO listed rock fortress at Sigiriya
- Visit the Shantha Sevana Hospice near Columbo
- Trek to a KPMG sponsored village in the tsunami hit south west

This is for a really great cause so donations however small are much appreciated.

PS.  I have to raise 80% of my target by 10th August 2007 to be able to do this and the remaining 20% by 8th December 2007 so please dont delay in donating to this great charity.

One last thing before you go.  I need to inform you that the money I raise is going to be split.  A small proportion is going towards funding this trip and the rest of the money goes to Help the Hospices who support over 200 hospices around the UK.
